Terms of use, in plain English
Using VALID
Last updated October 11, 2026. By using tryvalid.live or the VALID side panel, you agree to these terms.
What VALID is
VALID is free software from Crown Legacy AI LLC in Tampa, Florida. It explains tax rules and shows the law they come from.
VALID is not a CPA firm, an EA practice, a law firm, the IRS, or a tax return preparer. It does not give tax, legal or accounting advice, does not file anything, and does not represent you. Using VALID does not create a client relationship with VALID or with anyone else. Nothing on VALID is a written opinion under IRS Circular 230.
Your own taxes
Tax rules change by year and depend on facts VALID does not know. VALID can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Before you act on anything about your own return, check it with a licensed CPA, enrolled agent or tax attorney. You are responsible for what you file and for the decisions you make.
Using the site
Do not type Social Security numbers, ITINs, bank details, client names or other identifiers into VALID. Do not use VALID to hide income, invent expenses or mislead the IRS; VALID refuses those questions.
Do not try to break the site’s security, overload it, or copy it in bulk with automated tools. You must be 13 or older to use the sign-up forms.
For tax firms
Notice Desk, Client Desk and the client email kit produce drafts. No licensed professional has reviewed a draft until your own licensed staff do. Your firm decides what to send, signs it, and is responsible for it.
Content and names
Quoted text of the Internal Revenue Code and IRS publications is public law, shown with its source. VALID’s own writing, design, name and stamp mascot belong to Crown Legacy AI LLC. You may share links to any VALID page.
VALID is not affiliated with or endorsed by the IRS or any government agency. Other companies’ product names that appear on VALID belong to their owners and are used only to name those products.
No promises about results
VALID is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Crown Legacy AI LLC is not liable for any loss, penalty, interest or other harm that comes from using or relying on VALID.
