For CPA firms · runs in your browser
Every IRS notice, in the IRS’s own words. Type the number on the letter. Get what it means, what to do, and a first client email.
The IRS explains each of its notices and letters on its own website. VALID keeps all of them, read from irs.gov with a fingerprint of the text, so your team finds the right one in seconds. The words below are the IRS’s, not VALID’s, and they are not reviewed by VALID. Your licensed staff decide what to do and sign.
Find the notice
First email to your client DRAFT
It tells your client you have the letter and asks for every page. It decides nothing. Edit it, then copy it into your own email or portal.
Open in emailWork record AUDIT TRAIL
What this email was drafted from, so the file shows what VALID drafted, what your team changed and who signed. Built in this tab; nothing is stored or sent.
After you edit the email, check again to log that it changed.
Paste it into your own billing or practice tool. No client name goes in it.
Run this at your firm, free
Design partners use the Notice Library, Notice Desk, Season Desk and Client Desk free for the whole pilot, with full response kits for their firm’s most common notices added first. We ask for a 30-minute call every two weeks. No client data, ever.
What the Notice Library will not do
- It will not read the letter. You type the number; nothing is uploaded.
- It will not tell your client what to do. It shows what the IRS says on its own website, and your licensed staff decide.
- It will not reword the IRS. A sentence VALID could not show under its own rules, such as one with a dollar amount, is left out and counted, and the full page is one click away on irs.gov.
- The IRS changes these pages. Each one shows the day VALID read it; check irs.gov before you rely on it.
- It will not store what you type. Your signature appears in the email only if you kept it on this device in Season Desk or Client Desk.
