What this notice is about
We received notification that you recently returned your clean vehicle to the dealer.
What you need to know
Since you returned the clean vehicle listed on your notice, that vehicle is no longer eligible for the clean vehicle credit for the year it was placed in service.
If you DID NOT return the vehicle listed on your notice, email or call us immediately at the email address or telephone number shown on your notice.
What to do next
- Write down the date on the letter today.
- Look the number up on irs.gov yourself. Don’t trust a link or phone number from anyone else.
- If it says you owe money or proposes changes to your return, take it to a licensed CPA, EA or tax attorney before that date.
