Your Form 8868, Application for Extension of Time to File an Exempt Organization Return or Excise Taxes Related to Employee Benefit Plans, was denied, because it wasn't received on time.

What you need to do

  • File your required exempt organization return immediately to limit any late filing penalties. If you file your exempt organization return after the due date of the return (including any extensions), the return is considered late and subject to late filing penalties.

We didn’t receive it on time. We must receive your extension request by the due date of your return.
