Saw a tax claim online? Is that VALID?
Paste what you saw. VALID shows the verdict and the exact rule it rests on, with the source, so you can see it for yourself. Then share the verdict with whoever posted it.
What you paste stays in your browser. VALID never sends it anywhere.

How a verdict is made
- VALID means the law says it. Half true means the rule exists but the claim leaves out the limits. Not VALID means the law says otherwise.
- Every verdict rests only on lines from a reviewed VALID rule, quoted word for word, with the section of the Internal Revenue Code it comes from.
- If your wording is not one VALID has checked, it shows the closest checked claim and says so. It never pins a verdict on words it was not given for.
- A verdict is about the claim, not about you. Whether a rule applies to you turns on your own facts, so check with a licensed professional.
