Is that VALID?

Half true

“If you made very little, you never need to file a return.”

What the law says

  • Whether you must file turns on your gross income for the year, your filing status, your age, and whether someone else can claim you as a dependent.
  • If tax was withheld from your pay, or a refundable credit applies to you, filing is how you claim it.
